Amazon’s Alexa to Run Every Aspect of Your Life
Years ago Amazon’s Alexa was no match for Google Assistant, but today Alexa can control more than 85,000 smart home products. It can also execute over 100,000 skills concerning everything from your earbuds to your curtains.
Rohit Prasad, Alexa’s head scientist, talks about what Alexa will be able to do next. The plan is to move from passive to more proactive interactions. This means that Alexa will anticipate what you might need or want to do rather than wait for your command and instruction. The plan is to have Amazon’s Alexa as an omnipresent companion that orchestrates your life.
