Win at Your Executive Job Interview

The CEO of Job Interview Tools LLC, consultant, author of “The Complete Interview Answer Guide: Learn the secrets of telling interviewers what they want to hear so you get hired”, and youtube creator Don Georgerich shares powerful tips to help you win the executive level job interviews.

Acing an executive level interview

The interview coach says that the executive level job interviews with CEOs are incredibly different from the interviews with regular hiring managers. Therefore, you should prepare better and should not only expect ‘tell me about yourself’ sort of mundane/routine questions from a CEO.

According to Georgerich, the interviewer is bound to notice if the interviewee is filled with enthusiasm to work in their company or not. He insists you talk about your past accomplishments to support how you can contribute to the new company rather than merely talking about your job description in the previous ones.

An interview process becomes twofold impactful if the interviewee does mindful research about the CEOs work and politely asks questions related to their past work experiences or difficult decisions or career switch or others to engage them in the conversation.

The publicly held companies are likely to be in the news, and leveraging that, you can prepare to ask challenging questions that might be related to the company’s last failed product or recovery plan or the reason behind their low stock prices. In this manner, you are making them explain the rationale to you and leaving them awestruck and interested in hiring you.

Furthermore, since you are interviewing for a leadership position, it’s crucial to demonstrate your leadership skills. So, initiate a discussion about what motivates you to lead and uphold responsibilities towards so many people and how you plan on encouraging the people you lead. Focus on having a meaningful and engaging conversation because it is not only about answering the questions.

He also urges you to understand that you are expected to fit in their workplace culture, and if you fail to exhibit inclusiveness in the interview, you might as well lose the opportunity. All in all, utilization of the tips shared in the video and a considerable amount of homework on your part can make all the difference.
