Meena Chabbria is the AVP Brand Alliances at PVR Limited and has been a part of the company for more than 13 years. Her expertise lies in executive coaching, women’s leadership and empowerment, personal branding, business analysis, marketing strategy, business development, and more. She is also the author of the book, Unstoppable and is on a mission to empower 100,000 women to become global leaders in their careers. She was a part of the UCLA PGPX 2021-2022 cohort and shares her experience of the program.
Why did you choose to pursue the UCLA PGPX at this stage of your career?
I decided to pursue the program because cinemas were the worst hit during the pandemic. While PVR went above and beyond to support each employee in every way possible, I wanted to prepare myself for potential changes in my career. Also, at this age, life experiences have given me the knowledge and power to accept and react to certain things and understand education at a different level.
How do you think the program has helped you in your career?
The program has helped me become sharper and clearer on how things are evolving at the workplace. In the office atmosphere, I am able to understand and take in more perspectives and thrive in competition. Nobody can predict and plan the future only based on education, but this has given me direction and helped me plan my life much better.
I’m looking forward to this next phase of my life as a part of the UCLA PGPX and UCLA Anderson alumni.
