Currently on a sabbatical from full time work, Swathi is backed by over 14 years of HR experience in high-performance organizations such as Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Tesco. She has had the opportunity to contribute across a spectrum of roles and lead organization-wide change to make lasting impact on business goals and employee experience. Her expertise lies in observing and listening, co-creating, and considering the larger impact on employees and relative systems, and ultimately making change progressive and sustainable. She believes that HR upskilling is essential as they are at the forefront of change and transformation impacting the company’s most valuable asset – its people. She believes it is imperative to stay updated and leverage collective wisdom through such programs. She was part of the NUS HRLP 2023 cohort and has shared her experience of the program.
How was your overall experience of the program?
This program provided me with invaluable insights and tools to elevate my leadership skills within the HR domain. The facilitators and professors, especially Prof. Michael Jenkins and Prof. Shaily Gupta, were incredible.
Do you have any key takeaways from this program?
Throughout the program, I had the privilege of:
- Deepening my understanding of strategic HR, leading organizational change, talent development, and building high-performing teams
- Gaining practical expertise in employee engagement, coaching and mentoring, conflict resolution, and driving impactful HR initiatives
- Engaging in stimulating discussions and learning from a diverse group of experienced HR professionals and renowned faculty members
- Developing a comprehensive leadership action plan to implement my learnings and continue growing as a HR leader
