Working for a Startup Doesn’t Make for the Most Lucrative Career Path

Startup companies have inspired people, ideas, shows, movies, and so much more. The lure of being part of a startup and working on an idea that could make the world better while making the founding team a lot of money has its own charm. Being in a startup also gives you the opportunity to learn a lot in a very short amount of time. But there is a darker side to working for a startup that has recently been revealed.

A study by UCLA Anderson’s Prof. Olav Sorenson, and his colleagues, compiles wages, salaries, and bonuses of individual workers in Denmark for 10 years after they take a job at a startup to reveal that working for a startup doesn’t make for the most lucrative career path.
