Psychedelic Research is Back at UC Berkeley
After a gap of 50 years, psychedelic science and education is back at UC Berkeley. The university recently launched the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics. The center aims to discover consciousness, perception, creativity, and learning through psychedelic research.
The center launched with an anonymous donation of $1.25 million in seed funding. The new center will conduct research using psychedelics to investigate cognition, perception, and emotion and their biological bases in the human brain. It can also possibly find solutions to mental health disorders.
