He has previously worked with brands such as Bayer Crop Science, Emerson Process Management, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, among others. He participated in NUS AMP in 2022 and shares his experience of the program.
Why did you choose NUS AMP at this stage in your career?
Continuous learning, upgrading, rewiring, unlearning etc. is not just for machines, equipment or assets in my digitalization world but is very relevant for me as well. Additionally, the 9-month duration seemed like it was just the right amount of time for me to rewire and reprioritize my approach moving forward.
Was there something particular that stood out to you during the program?
Definitely the experiences shared by some of the professors. That made for a truly rich overall program experience and is etched permanently in my mind. I feel like it was the perfect time for me to cement my approach towards work and my belief system, while also fine-tuning a few ideas as I move ahead in my journey.
What is one learning that stood out to you the most?
I have two. One is from Prof. Michael Jenkins – empathy is the key leadership ingredient to drive success in this VUCA world. And, the second is from Prof. Andrew Delios who gave us very insightful perspectives on strategy and policy for the ASEAN region.
