Given the volume of applications they get, Keirsten believes that recruiters do not look forward to reviewing the entire resume. Instead, she claims that recruiters just offer an initial scan of six to seven seconds to determine if they want to read the entire thing or not. She suggests that the major factors that draw the attention of recruiters are mostly influenced by the nature of the position one applies to. You must determine which of your top credentials or former work experiences to put in your resume based on the employment role. She suggests that nowadays, recruiters prefer to use AI systems to select resumes that meet particular criteria. She does, however, clarify that none of the AI algorithms prevent any profile from reaching the recruiter. One of her suggestions is to highlight your significant qualifications, both professional and legal, that are relevant to your domain in your resume. The most common certifications or licenses are some of the major factors recruiters look for in a resume. Second, Keirsten proposes that you demonstrate having the necessary experience. She advises mentioning professional experiences that are relevant to the job role being offered. This also gives the impression that you have attentively read and comprehended the job description. Finally, Keirsten discusses resume etiquette, such as having your name clearly shown on the resume, putting the right contact information, and including a job title and a talent summary. This makes it much simpler for the recruiter to obtain a good sense of your skill set during the initial scan and increases your chances of being called in for an interview.
