The Importance of Networking

Prof. Ronald S. Burt explains what networking means to your success, the economy, and society and how to network in the right manner to influence your career and future success. He showed that the different networks of contacts you have, help you in different ways. This can range from your salary to skills like being able to think strategically.

The article also explains that people who feel connected enough rarely seek more networks and are content with their existing contacts. On the other hand, those who are not well-to-do might find it harder to extend their circles, while those who find themselves part of many different circles depending on personality and achievements are more comfortable looking for more.
