Your Network is Everything

Research suggests that the right network can influence everything from your salary to your ability to your skills. Researchers found that people tend to share the same ideologies, beliefs as those in their networks.

So, decisions about things as seemingly disconnected as national political decisions can be heavily influenced by a person’s network. This also varies and is dependent on whether a person’s network is open or closed. People who feel connected are usually not motivated to look for more socially, while the opposite is usually true for those who feel like they lack social connections.
