Curbing Inflation Depends on the Pandemic
Yale SOM’s William English, a former economist at the Federal Reserve, talks about how the pandemic has affected the rate of inflation and how to deal with it. Inflation is rising fast, while demand is rising as well, and supply chains aren’t keeping up.
English explains why this is happening and what policymakers can do to combat it. To begin he delves into the problem of the October, 2021 inflation and whether that is something to worry about. He also talked about other issues and the government’s role in curbing inflation with the steps they took.
